The stage design for the Lulu production of the Salzburg Festival 2010 was made by Daniel Richter. Brigade Commerz met the artist in his flat after an exhausting rehearsal day – spent him a bottle of redwine and a packet of cirgarettes – and covered a broad range of topics ranging from the paranoia of his early paintings, his liking for cartoons to contemporary mass culture. Richter concentrated, brilliant and hilarious. A must!
